Spreading climate change awareness

Problem

Climate change is an issue that many people are aware of, but often feel overwhelmed by. While doing some quick research on climate change awareness, I came across an article that stated that part of the issue is marketing. The green, earthy aesthetic often coupled with climate marketing does not read as urgent.

Solution

After discussing this issue with 3 climate-focused experts, I learned about climate justice approaches that are effective and empowering. The general consensus was that the best way to address climate change is by taking collective action, starting locally. On the front of the poster, I focused on grabbing attention by using saturated oranges and reds. On the back of the poster, I created infographics to educate people on actions they can take.
